What is a sign painting party?

A sign painting party is a twist on the popular Paint Nights popping up at the local pubs. Unlike a typical Paint Night, a sign painting party allows you to choose your creation including size, style, design and colours. where you choose your design, paint it, put on the hardware, take it and hang it.

What should I expect?

Once you've chosen your size and design, Vintage & Varnish will do all the prep wood getting your sign ready for painting. When you arrive at your paint party, your chosen design and wood will be waiting for you so all you need to do is choose your paints and grab a seat. We will walk you through the staining and painting process and assist you with mounting hardware and other included accessories when required! You will leave with your completed project and some sealer to protect your work after the paint dries. Parties usually last 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

What should I wear?

JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE AN ADULT DOESN'T MEAN YOU WON'T MAKE A MESS! We will provide painting aprons but we do recommend all painters wear short sleeve shirts or looser fits that can be rolled up above your elbows. We also recommend you wear clothing that is not special to you.  Please do not wear your designer jeans, favourite boots or anything of value since we are dealing with products that can damage or stain the material.

Do I have to pick my design ahead of time?

All of our parties require pre-registration so that we can have adequate time to prep and customize your board and stencil.  Project selection and customization information for your project is required at the time of booking. Please be sure to double-check your spelling on any custom details to ensure your project stencil will be correct and ready to go for you at the start of the party.

 

We have a family motto, can it be put onto a sign?

No problem! Contact us and for a non-refundable design fee of $25 we can create your one of a kind sign.

Can I host a private party?

We love planning parties! Paint parties make the perfect night in; ideal for birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, family or date nights, kids parties, fundraisers, team bonding, orcorporate events! Private parties require a minimum of 6 registered guests. Host any private paint party with a minimum of 8 registered guests and you or the guest of honour receives a receives a $40 credit, to be applied to their party project!! Contact us now to book a date!

What types of payment do you accept?

All orders are processed securely through our website. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and
PayPal. All orders are processed securely through our website. If you wish to pay via e-transfer please contact us.

Please register at least 72 hours before the party date.

What if I have to cancel?

Any cancellations up to 72 hours before the date of the party will receive a full refund (minus a $10 materials fee). Any cancellations made 48 to 24 hours before the class will receive a 50% refund (minus a $10 materials fee). Any cancellations made less than 24 hours before the party will not receive a refund but can attend any other party to complete their sign project. If you attend another party to complete your sign, no extra charges will apply.
