"QUEENIE SET" 
This two piece waterfall style bedroom set was worn, dated and showing it's age. The drawer fronts were stripped and stained in a Vintage Cherry red to accent the beautiful walnut veneer. The lower drawers didn't have much character so they were embellished using some fun "Bohemian Border" transfers from Iron Orchid Designs. 
The shells of the furniture were painted, glazed and waxed in black tones to give beautiful depth to the colour. Antique gold highlights were added to the detailed areas as well as the mirror. The stool was customized using black paint, glaze and antique gold to give an old and worn look with a hint of metallic. The stool was then completed with a black faux fur fabric.
 
All of the drawers were refreshed by cleaning, sanding and conditioning the wood. The dresser received new drawer liners for a fresh, clean look and the old style wood glides were waxed for easy opening and closing.

Mirror is 32.5" tall for a total vanity height of 61.5" tall

**Both the dresser and the vanity were sealed with 3 coats of highly durable urethane/acrylic topcoat in a "Flat" sheen and are durable enough for use in high traffic areas.
