"ANTOINETTE" 
This french provincial china cabinet has been given a major refresh combining the farmhouse look of distressed white with modern black details for a chic style that can easily be incorporated with many decor trends.
This solid dovetail piece was primed and then painted in a pure white. Minor distressing around the edges was used to accent the curves and trim details by allowing some of the natural wood tones to peek through. The interiours of both cupboards as well as the display cabinet were also painted in a pure white and the cupboard interiours were left with a slightly worn finish. The back of the display piece was painted with an arabesque pattern in a slightly worn black.
 
The original hardware was cleaned and a flat black gilding wax was added to match the display cabinet. The worn black pattern was continued on the drawer sides for a little extra pop of black when opening the drawers. All of the drawers were refreshed with a good cleaning and sanding. The wood drawers were conditioned, inside and out and the vintage style wood glides were waxed for easy opening and closing.

*Note: This cabinet is all one piece and the top hutch does not lift off the base for transport.
 
**This cabinet was hand waxed and buffed for a soft satin sheen. The hutch shelving and cupboard interiours were sealed with a highly durable urethane/acrylic topcoat in a "Flat" sheen for greater durability suited to their usage.
