"CHARLESTON SET" 
With it's sleek lines and tapered legs this two piece set lends itself to the ever popular Mid Century Modern styled furniture. However, unlike the MCM these pieces lacked lustre and were not made with the teak or black walnut woods typical of the high end MCM pieces.
 
To modernize these pieces and give them some oomph they were painted in a gorgeous blue-green. The legs were wrapped in a copper leafing and distressed back to allow peeks of colour to show through. The original hardware, reminiscentof litte bowties perfectly befitting to a gentleman named Charleston, were kept but updated with a copper paint.
 
All of the drawers were refreshed with a good cleaning and sanding. The wood drawers were conditioned, inside and out and the vintage style wood glides were waxed for easy opening and closing.

**Both dressers were sealed with a highly durable urethane/acrylic topcoat in a "Flat" sheen and hand waxed and buffed for a soft matte sheen.
